Day 14: DIY book scanning

Here’s all you need to scan a book: 2 pieces of channel stock, some 1/4-20 screws and nuts, 4 fender washers and a jigsaw. Clamp the channel stock down on the edge of the book and you can saw the binding off in seconds. Then feed to a copier or scanner with document feeder, and Presto—your library is 1 book closer to being digital.
