Day 7: You can find out so much from a graph

Today we talked about the graph from the peanut vs battery experiment I did on Friday.

We got a lot of mileage out of this single graph, students were even able to look at the changing slope of the cooling curve and make an argument that this tells us that the rate of energy transfer must be proportional to the temperature difference.

And while I’m not much of a fan of smartboards, I find the combo of being able to project onto a whiteboard and photograph the result is a combination that can’t be beat.
