Day 11: Broomball plans

Today at our weekly physics meeting, Mark, Piper and I developed plans for completely transforming how we are going to introduce students to forces using the broom mallet ball activity. We’ve laid out a course in the physics lab that will have students striking a bowling ball with mallets to try to get the best time around a track, while avoiding penalties for hitting obstacles, or for hitting the ball while it is in a no touch zone. I’ll post more details on my main blog once I finish writing it up.
