Day 23: Wheels and friction

In my honors physics class, we’ve been talking a bit about the frictional force, and we came around to the idea that wheels make it much harder for the atoms between the table and wheel to shear, thus it’s very hard to have a frictional force. We can see that in this video, since when I give the table a shove, the fan carts stay pretty much in place. The table can’t exert a force on them.
